Make your own fudge sauce
I decided that I wanted to make those fancy latte drinks that have whipped cream on the top and then are drizzled by chocolate sauce.
Then I thought I’d like to make my own chocolate sauce. And I did - it takes almost no time and is beyond delicious.
Here’s the recipe.
Make Your Own Fudge Sauce.
1/2c sugar
3Tbs cocoa - I used Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa
1 1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch
dash of salt
1/2 cup water at room temperature
2 tablespoons butter
-----------------------
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix together dry ingredients in a 1qt casserole or 2cup glass measure. Stir in water.
Cook in microwave oven on full power for about 1 1/2 mins. Stir halfway thru cooking. Blend in butter. Cook on full power for 1 min. or till butter is melted. Stir halfway thru cooking time. Blend in vanilla. Stir thoroughly. Makes 1 cup
We had ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sauce for desert. It was delicious!

Happy Birthday Smokey Joe and Cassie-b
Smokey got to nap any place he wanted to - undisturbed.
Smokey Joe turned 5 years old yesterday, and I’m a bit older.

A Baby Robin Story
I’m so glad he took pictures of the newborn babies.
“A robin nested right outside our office window.
Those babies grew up quick and
were hopping around in not much time at all”
Thanks M so much for sending these great pictures to me.

New Museum in Warminster PA
It was very interesting. And we’re planning to go back again to watch the video clips they were showing.
It was just so crowded and noisy that we thought another day would be better.

I miss you Ed
He could be depended on to always let me know that what I was doing was wrong - even when it wasn’t.
Now, how do I know?

B0ARD GAMES
Sometimes you can even get the kids to play.
My favorite is Scrabble. And my least favorites are anything that have a lot to do with numbers.
When the tomb of the ancient Egyptian King Tut was discovered in the 1920s, among the artifacts found were a game board, dice and playing pieces.
That means board games have been around for over 3000 years!
Egyptians, Greeks and Romans have enjoyed playing games such as backgammon, checkers, dominos, and chess for thousands of years.
Even before Columbus crossed the Atlantic, board games were being enjoyed all over the globe, by every culture except the Eskimos and the first Australian settlers.

Tomato
I wanted to take a picture of the tomato, but was in such a hurry to have lunch that I forgot. But it looked a lot like this:

Blueberries
Each year we freeze about 50 pints of blueberries - which lasts till next blueberry season.
So far, I’ve frozen 12 pints.
Hopefully we’ll get the whole project completed this week.

Hang in there!
I’m sorry that all these troubles are happening.
And all I can say is “Hang in there”
