Another Bat!

We found yet another dead bat on our driveway this morning. (if you check my previous post, you can read about the last one Don found earlier this week)

I hope this isn’t getting to be a habit.  I’m not a big fan of bats, but I’d really rather see them flying than dead on our driveway
.
I really hate finding things like that.

What a way to start a weekend!

I’m not crazy about bats either, they’re not very attractive little critters.

Have a great weekend!!!

Oh, I certainly hope you don’t get any more of those left on your driveway!

It’s Friday, hooray!!  Enjoy your weekend!

Very strange.  Are you allergic to garlic by any chance?

Bats eat skeeters and other pesky little bugs. Millions per night, in fact. We like that. Bats are good for our environment. Now if you found a broken bat on your driveway, that would be sad, indeed. And if a flying bat came anywhere near my mother, she’d take that broken bat and swing till the other bat was off in Kentucky somewhere.

Hope all ends well. Hope the cat don’t get sick.

Yikes! The one bat was enough already. I surely home these creatures are not going to be around your place much longer.

Uuum, where you see the word home there, it should be “hope”. And I do “hope” they won’t stay near your home much longer… red face

Try singing in high pitch to attract them. Then put it on YouTube.

OMG, I knew this one family that had bats in the belfry so to speak. They had a hard and long time gettin’ rid of. Had to finally call in a BAT-TERMINATOR. Before he could get there and do his thing… they literally were using a ball bat, broom, whatever they could find to keep those varmints out of their house. Ewww, they are so creepy and nasty aren’t they? tongue rolleye

Good luck on ridding the place of them. Hope no more end up on your porch. xoxoxoxox (keep cool) cool smile

Have you ever seen bats before?

I’ve heard they’ll nest (I guess roost) in an area, but two dead ones within a few days . . . wow, that seems odd.

I know they eat Skeeters. Here in Texas, I’d import the bats by the truck loads if they’d eat all the Skeeters we have. Unfortunately, we’re a little too close to big city for the bats.

I’ve had 2 in the house over the years and would have paid to have your cat come in and catch them.

Eeeew!  Hitonious!

I hope that’s the last dead bat that pays you an unwelcomed visit.

Wouldn’t hurt to call the local health dept and let them know just in case something is going on in the area. A few years ago, I found several bird every few days. After calling it in, I learned in the local paper there was a virus of some sort going around.

Hopefully you haven’t found anymore. wink

Not sure what type of bats you have around your place.. but here we kind of like the little guys.  We rarely see them.. but apparently they are very good at eating mosquitoes. Some people here abouts have even started building bat homes in hopes of drawing them into their yards.

Dead ones I would not like. grin
