Are Moms Always Right?
When I was a little girl, my mother used to tell me lots of things. And I think a lot of what she told me was good, valuable information.
Today I question some of the things she told me.
She said, “If you put your socks back on after they’ve been worn (before they’re washed), you’ll get athlete’s foot.”
Now that I’m all grown up, I wonder if that’s true.
My mother was always right. Just ask her.
Sounds like the dirty socks might attract a fungus, so maybe. Yuck!
One good thing about mother always being right is that now it’s MY turn!
I question a lot of the things my mother told me. Oddly enough my face has never frozen while making ugly faces at my brother but maybe one day it could happen…
Have you tried wearing socks two days in a row to test your mom? I’m not sure I could do that lol
I never question my mother. She is always right. It’s not worth the pain of arguing.
My mom hasn’t been wrong very often. She never actually told me not to wear my socks again before washing them; but I don’t think I would do it…
Hey, no wonder I’m such an athlete! I’ve got athlete’s foot from way back when. And I must be a jock because I have jock itch all the time, too.
I’m gonna call the Yankees right away!
I don’t like to wear socks so I should be safe
Ya think?
Hope you had a great weekend!!
I’ve never worn socks two days in a row . . . but I have problems with athletes feet!
Two dead bats? Yikes!
I guess my husband’s mother told him that because he is obsessive about changing socks. When one pair comes off his feet a clean pair goes on regardless if it’s the same day and he only removed them for a nap.
We moms are well meaning, but we are NOT always right.
I wear soft, fluffy footsie socks around the house, and I toss them in the wash every few days. I don’t have athlete’s foot.
When I was growing up, my mom was right in most everything she said, though, and I’m sure yours was too.
Like Granny Annie’s husband, I, too, have a thing about changing my socks. If I take socks off - even for just a minute - I can’t put them back on. They feel so used. My socks have to be fresh every single time!

Only if there was the fungus that causes athlete’s foot in your day-old socks.
I shudder to think of what your mother might have said about wearing underwear two days in a row.
