Colonial Dinner
Last night Don and I went to a Colonial Kitchen Dinner, which a local restaurant specials annually on Monday nights in February and March.
We listened to lute and flute music, performed by musicians in colonial costumes, and met an indentured servant who stopped by to talk to us and explain her lot in life and future plans, and Susan B. Anthony. (I think they might have been actors)
We also watched 2 colonial women cooking in an open fireplace – they demonstrated the cooking practices from colonial days.
The food is authentic colonial fare. And as always, was delicious.

All in all, it was an enjoyable evening.
That sounds like a wonderful time. I wish we had something like that around here.
That sounds like it would be loads of fun! What did you choose for dinner? The New England Cod sounds wonderful!
Menu looks good, made me hungry, again!
This sounds like such an enjoyable time.
I’ll have some of Queen Anne’s Pye with spiced carrot cake for dessert.
My wife and I just got back from a trip to Florida. Along the way, we had some interesting entrees as well. Fried gator tail! But they were out of soft-shelled turtle. Apparently not in season.
The menu looked delicious. I wish we had one around here.
*HUGS*
That is so very cool! And the menu is interesting; I might try to make my own Butter Rum . . .
That sounds really cool and the menu looks yummy. What did you choose ? I saw a few things I would have liked to try.
I shouldn’t have looked at that it sounds amazing.
HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Hi!
I think you have some very nice information here so I thought
I’d say “hello” and shamelessly also try to get a link from your fine page.
Best wishes and thanks,
Tim
Hi!
Nice website you got here!
Next entry: I guess spring is really on it's way
Previous entry: I hope you're wearin' some green
That menu looks great.
The area and the shopping looks just beautiful. I lived in Connecticut for a bit and it reminds me of a ‘nicer’ version of the areas I visited when I lived close.
Fun! Would have love to watched the theatre actors.
