EEEEEK
Don found a dead bat on our driveway this morning.
We heard a terrible cat commotion last night. I guess the cat won.
I wonder who the owner is of the proud kitty.
Not me. Smokey Joe doesn’t venture outdoors. I hope the bat didn’t have any diseases.
I’m glad I didn’t go out to get the newspaper this morning.
I hate finding things like that.
My cats are always bringing us little ‘gifts’.
My dog brought me a dead bat once. It was the least thrilling present I’ve ever gotten. My cat likes to bring me dead mice, too!
Eeew. I’m with ya’. I hate those kinds of things as well.
Once, many years ago, when I was still living single in an apartment house, it was halloween evening and I had just come home from my teaching job. I walked up the sidewalk toward my front door, and right in front of my first step up, a dead BLACK cat was lying strethched out in front of me. Oh god, that was weird!
The cats have brought plenty of little gifts to our doorstep too so now they all live inside (the cats… not the little gifts).
We see a few live ones on our evening walks, they come really close and are very fast. I’m surprised a cat got one!
That could’ve been pretty ugly for the cat. I don’t imagine the bat went down without a fight.
Put a stake into it!!
Howdy -
You came and visited my daughter’s new blog and left her a comment- I’m stopping by to say thanks!
All I can think of right now is a Sesame Street song from many, many years ago:
Batty batty batty batty batty batty batty 1-2-3 BAT!

EEK! I think I’d have to call animal control to get the dead bat off of my driveway.
