Guess who came to lunch?

Don threw out some food scraps for the birds yesterday and these enormous turkey buzzards came for their share.

I’ve seen them nearby, but this is the first time these birds visited our yard.

I love it when nature gives us a treat like that. You must have been thrilled!

I’m sorry to hear that you were laid off, and I hope you find another job that you’ll enjoy.

I’ve never seen a buzzard except in cartoons!  I can just picture them soaring around in circles overhead and then diving down to get the scraps that Don threw out.

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Holy cow!  Those are some big birds when they’re in the sky.  I can’t even imagine seeing them that close up!

What kind of scraps did Don throw out - carcasses?  LOL

What a surprise. I guess even turkey buzzards gotta eat.

We haven’t had any turkey buzzards, but I’ve heard a lot of chirping out in our front yard the past couple of days.  The snow finally melted and my son and I crumbled up almost a whole loaf of bread out there.

Just think what a feud we could have in our neighborhood if your turkey buzzards tried to chase away my wild turkeys!  As Little J would say, “Line up for battle”

OMG… I have never ever seen these birds up close and personal.  What a great sighting.
