M0CKINGBIRD
We looked for the goose several times before realizing it was a mocking bird.
This is the same mocking bird that wants our outdoor cat to disappear. He hollers at the cat regularly.
And he usually does it at about a 5 foot distance. I guess that either makes him brave or not very clever.

Thats amazing a mocking bird making Canada Goose sounds.
I came by to read your post. I was reading comments over at Pauls blog Writing from the Hip and I liked your comment so I have come to visit.
When I moved into my present home around ten years ago, I brought with me my parrot, Josephine. While all the moving was going on, I placed her large cage on the back patio.
A few days later, while having a cup of coffee in the kitchen, I kept hearing parrot sqauwks and trills. I watched Jo and she was not making the sounds so I went outside convinced that one of my new neighbors had a parrot, too. I spent a long time hanging over my fence trying to see into their backyards to find the other parrot or parrots. You guessed it, It was a mocking bird. They certainly are good at imitating other birds.
