So Sad

Today I was notified at work that a colleague from work, an attorney, died during the night.  This man was someone I have worked with almost daily over the past 15 years.  I don’t know if it was sudden, or if he had been ill.  He didn’t work in the same building that I do, and most of our interactions were by email.  I saw him rarely.  But it’s as if I’ve lost a friend. 

And there’s nothing I can do, except go to a very large funeral
and send a donation to the charity listed in the obituary. 

He was 55.

I will miss him.
