Wildlife Event
On my way to work quite early today, I had to stop in the road to let a rabbit make a decision as to which side of the road was actually more desirable.

Then I drove on. There were 4 squirrels playing in the middle of the road and not anxious to change the location of their play date. So I waited till they all decided which side of the road was best.

Then, I drove on the campus at work, and had to stop for 11 Canada geese (adults and babies) to cross the road. After almost all of them got across, The Daddy Goose waited in the middle of the road for the one baby who had not yet crossed the road. I drove very slowly, and he did move to let me by.
As I looked into my rearview mirror, I noticed that the driver of the next car wasn’t quite so lucky. She was still sitting there after I parked my car.
I mentioned to one of the guards about the geese, and he told me that the very large snapping turtle (also lives on our campus) had taken up a “place to sun” on the road. Since no one wanted to move him, some employee went out and put out road signs to protect the little fellow.
